designer//dressmaker//artist R. Brooke Priddy draws from a background of studies in performance and installation to imbibe her handmade garments with a life of their own.  With the likes of inflatables, submersibles and aerialists, she takes her gowns far from the traditional runway and retail settings and into a realm of living sculpture.  Priddy's installations and happenings delve into the fantastical and sometimes burdensome relationships we develop with our material worlds.  Her private studio and storefront is located in West Asheville, North Carolina - where she holds custom design appointments, fittings and does her own in-house production for her company, Ship to Shore Clothier.
