Meghan Holliday's design interests began with the Anni Albers Scholar program at NC State University, where she majored in Art + Design and Textile Technology. Currently, she is pursuing a Masters in Art and Design part-time and working full-time at Bekaert Textiles USA, a market leader in mattress ticking. Her research appeals to both industry and artistic disciplines as her graduate work challenges the premise of Jacquard fabrics, static textile patterns, and expected repetition of textile design through the interaction of multiple media and textile design.

Through hand- woven textiles that are illuminated with computer generated video and animation, Holliday's research introduces a new technology – kinetic motifs through computerized projection – to its Jacquard predecessor, bringing full circle the direct relationship between both binary systems. Her work invites viewers into a fantastical dimension of tangible fiber and engineered, elevated woven surfaces, bringing realness to computer generated imagery.
